About Alma
Textiles provide me with enjoyment and relaxation. My first love was cross stitch, but having attended numerous classes over many years my interests are now more varied and I like the challenge of learning new skills.
Different colours and textures interest me. Hand stitching is always a pleasure, but I like the unpredictable nature of making felt pieces. The mixing of the wool fibres and the adding of different materials create colourful tactile surfaces.
I love a bit of glitz too, so beads and sequins often embellish my work.
I hope you enjoy viewing my galleries as much as I have enjoyed creating the pieces.
